Lens Health Technologies is an AI-driven HealthTech startup tackling the heavy administrative burden in UK care homes. Its solution, FocusAI, is the first AI-powered regulatory reporting tool built specifically for care homes.
It automates data consolidation and reporting using a hybrid Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach, enabling staff to query data using natural language and receive precise, citation-backed responses.
The broader mission? To improve care outcomes by freeing staff from administrative overload and to establish the UK as a global leader in digital health infrastructure.
Across the country, teams are spending up to 10 staff days per month on regulatory compliance reporting — time that could otherwise be dedicated to delivering high-quality care. Lens Health Technologies set out to change this and reduce the strain on UK care staff.
With nearly half of care workers (45%) reporting that these administrative demands reduce their ability to provide effective support, the need for innovation is urgent.
